Directions
-
In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp vinegar, and 4 pinches of salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Set aside.
-
Finely chop the 2 cucumbers. Mix the cucumbers with 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp salt, and 1.5 tbsp vinegar. Let them soak for about 15 minutes. After soaking, squeeze out excess liquid and set the cucumbers aside in a bowl.
-
Use all 5 crab sticks. Shred them using a fork and mix with 2 tbsp mayonnaise and a bit of wasabi (optional).
-
Cook 2 bowls of rice (approximately 400g) and mix with the prepared sushi vinegar solution. Cut the 3 sheets of seaweed into 8 smaller pieces each. Spread a thin layer of rice evenly over the seaweed sheets. Use less rice for a better balance of flavors. Add the prepared crab stick mixture and pickled cucumbers as the filling. Roll the seaweed tightly with the fillings inside.
-
Lightly brush sesame oil on top of each roll. Sprinkle sesame seeds for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
