Directions
1. Step
In a large mixing bowl, combine: 2 eggs, 60 ml milk, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp vanilla sugar, A pinch of salt, 1.5 tsp dry yeast. Mix well until fully combined. Add 150 g softened butter and mix thoroughly. Gradually add ~350 g flour while mixing lightly until a dough forms. If needed, add a little more flour and knead the dough gently with your hands. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
2. Step
Roll out the dough into a thin, even layer. Sprinkle 130 g of granulated sugar evenly across the surface. Fold the dough over to encase the sugar. Sprinkle 2 tbsp of brown sugar evenly over the folded layer.
3. Step
Cut the dough into equal squares. Place the squares on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 20–25 minutes or until golden and caramelized.
