Directions
-
In a large bowl, combine: 250 ml slightly warm milk, 60 g sugar, 8 g dry yeast, 1 egg, Vanilla extract. Mix well, then add: 50 ml oil, 550 g flour, ½ tsp salt. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and a cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
-
Divide the dough into four portions. Roll each portion into a square and spread 1 tablespoon of butter over the surface. Using a rolling pin, flatten slightly, then cut the dough into triangles. Roll each triangle into a round shape (croissant style). Cover with a cloth and let rest for 15 minutes.
-
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the rounds until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
-
Sprinkle with granulated sugar while warm. Optionally, fill with Nutella or cream for an indulgent treat.
