Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine 140 ml milk, 25 g sugar, and 3 g yeast. Stir well with a spatula. Add 200 g bread or wheat flour and 2 g salt to the mixture. Mix thoroughly to form a dough. Cover the bowl with a lid and let it rest for 20 minutes.

  2. Add 20 g unsalted butter to the dough and knead until evenly incorporated. Cover and let the dough rest for an additional 30 minutes.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix 180 g cream cheese and 18 g sugar until smooth. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag.

  4. Roll out the dough into a flat sheet using a rolling pin. Pipe the cream cheese filling in the center, fold, and wrap the dough around the filling as shown in the video. Cover the shaped dough with plastic wrap and let it rest briefly. Use a slotted spoon to make holes in the dough, then brush it with egg wash.

  5. Preheat the oven to 170°C. Bake the prepared dough for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
