Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth. Add vegetable oil and the egg, then mix until fully incorporated. Stir in the baking powder and gradually add 270–290 g of flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. If needed, add a little more flour and knead gently by hand.

Divide the dough into two equal portions. To one portion, add 1 tbsp cocoa powder and mix until fully incorporated. To the other portion, add 1 tbsp flour and mix until evenly combined.

Take a small piece from the plain dough and roll it into a log. Repeat with a small piece of the cocoa dough. Twist or press the two dough pieces together to create a swirl effect. Lightly press the dough logs, sprinkle with sugar, and flatten slightly. Cut into desired shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
