Directions

1. Step

In a bowl, mix the diced apple with sugar and lemon juice.

2. Step

Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add the apple mixture. Drizzle with honey or oligosaccharide syrup for shine. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until softened. Stir in cinnamon powder and chopped almonds. Set aside to cool.

3. Step

Beat the egg in a small bowl. Trim the edges off each bread slice and flatten the center with a rolling pin. Lightly score one side of the bread for decoration. Spread cream cheese on the opposite side. Place a spoonful of the cooked apple mixture on the cream cheese side. Brush the edges of the bread with the beaten egg, fold in half, and press the edges with a fork to seal. Trim the edges neatly with a knife.

4. Step

Brush the assembled pies with melted butter for flavor. Brush with beaten egg for a golden color. Preheat the air fryer to 160°C (320°F) and cook for 8 minutes (adjust time based on machine).
