Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix: 1 egg, 50 g sugar, A pinch of vanilla, 1 teaspoon salt. Add 100 g butter and 150 g sour cream (or yogurt) to the mixture and mix thoroughly. Stir in 1 teaspoon baking powder and gradually add 350 g flour while mixing. Add more flour as needed to form a soft dough. Knead gently with your hands, then wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  2. In a bowl, mix: 200 g cottage cheese, 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 egg white. Transfer the mixture to a pastry bag fitted with an open-star tip.

  3. Divide the dough into two equal parts. Wrap one half in plastic wrap and set aside. Roll out the remaining half to a thickness of 3 mm. Cut out round shapes about 9 cm in diameter.

  4. On each round of dough, pipe the cottage cheese mixture in two stripes, leaving two gaps. Fold and tie the dough in the middle to form a bow shape. Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix 1 egg yolk with 1 tablespoon milk, and brush this mixture over each piece for a golden finish.

  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
