Directions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Prepare Garlic and Shallots for Roasting
Trim the tops of the garlic cloves and shallots. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and wrap in foil.
3. Roast Until Soft and Fragrant
Roast the wrapped garlic and shallots for 45–60 minutes until soft and aromatic.
4. Extract and Mash Roasted Ingredients
Let them cool slightly. Squeeze the garlic and shallots from their skins into a bowl and mash them.
5. Make the Garlic Butter Mixture
Combine the softened butter, roasted garlic and shallot mash, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.
6. Prepare the Bread Base
Slice the baguette lengthwise in half and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves.
7. Add Vegan Cheese Topping
Sprinkle the vegan cheese evenly over the bread.
