Directions
1. Step
Cut the spam into thick slices and fry in a hot pan until both sides are golden brown. In the same pan, add a little cooking oil, crack the eggs, season with salt, and fry until cooked through. Julienne the carrot and sauté it with 2 pinches of salt and a small amount of oil until softened.
2. Step
In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with salt, sesame seeds, and sesame oil.
3. Step
Place a sheet of seaweed (nori) on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of rice in the center, shaping it into a square. Layer the ingredients: cheddar cheese, fried egg, sautéed carrots, fried spam, and romaine lettuce. Add another thin layer of rice on top. Fold the seaweed over the filling, bringing the edges inward to form a compact square. Use a bit of water or rice paste to seal the edges. Press firmly, let sit for a minute, then slice in half and serve.
