In a bowl, whisk together 1 egg, 150 g of sugar, 1 pinch of vanilla, and 1 pinch of salt until well combined. Add 50 ml of vegetable oil and mix thoroughly.

In a separate bowl, mix 180 g of yogurt (or sour cream) with 1 tsp of baking powder. Gradually add 420 g of flour, mixing until combined. If necessary, add a bit more flour and knead with your hands to form a soft dough.

Divide the dough into 16 equal portions. Roll each portion into a small ball and place them on a lined baking sheet.

In a small bowl, whisk 1 egg yolk with 1 tbsp of milk. Brush this mixture over the dough balls. Sprinkle each ball with brown or white sugar, about 1 tsp per ball.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
